Basic Self-Checks Before Booking PEME

Many candidates prefer to review these basic parameters before travelling for medical:

• Recent blood pressure reading
• Fasting blood sugar or HbA1c (if history or family history)
• Liver function test (if alcohol use or fatty liver history)
• BMI (weight vs height)
• ECG if age above 35 or cardiac symptoms
• Stability after recent surgery

These are not mandatory for this tool, but awareness reduces unexpected delays.

Risk Awareness Questions

1. Blood Pressure (High BP)
Previously told “BP thoda high hai” during medical
Currently on BP medication
BP was repeated multiple times during past PEME
Not checked recently
2. Blood Sugar / Diabetes (“Sugar Problem”)
Fasting sugar or HbA1c borderline/high in past reports
On diabetes medication or insulin
Advised better sugar control before fitness clearance
Not checked recently
3. Liver Function (SGOT / SGPT / Fatty Liver)
Liver enzymes reported high in past tests
Fatty liver diagnosed on ultrasound
Alcohol intake with abnormal reports
Not checked recently
4. Cardiac / ECG
ECG showed abnormality
Advised TMT / cardiology consultation
Age above 35 with BP, sugar or cholesterol issues
5. Weight / BMI
BMI above 30 or overweight noted previously
Advised weight reduction before joining

Recent LASIK or refractive surgery
Colour vision issue noted previously
7. Surgery History
Surgery within last 6 months
Ongoing recovery or implant present
8. Neurological History (Fits / Akdi / Seizure)
History of epilepsy / seizures / blackout episodes
On anti-epileptic medication
Unexplained loss of consciousness in past
9. Previous Medical Outcome
Previously declared Temporary Unfit
Same issue not fully corrected yet
10. Long-Term Medication / Disclosure Concern
On regular long-term medication
Unsure whether certain medical history should be disclosed
